International Solar Alliance and Renewable Energy

07 Dec 2017   |   1000 – 1600

Organised by CEEW and International Solar Alliance

About the Event

To commemorate the occasion of ISA becoming a treaty-based inter-governmental organisation as of 6 December 2017, CEEW and ISA organised this Dialogue on 7 December 2017. At the Dialogue on the future of renewable energy, we also hosted ISA’s National Focal Points from over 25 countries.

CEEW also conducted workshops at the 2017 ISA National Focal Points Conclave, and developed solar roadmaps for Brazil, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan, and the Congo.

Dr Paolo Frankl, Head of the Renewable Energy Division at the International Energy Agency (IEA), launched the International Energy Agency’s 2017 Renewable Energy Market Report.

ISA is conceived as a coalition of solar rich countries to address their special energy needs and will provide a platform to collaborate on addressing the identified gaps through a common, agreed approach. It is a part of Prime Minister Modi's vision to bring clean and affordable energy within the reach of all and create a sustainable world.
