Ishita Jalan

Research Analyst

Ishita is an environmental engineer turned policy analyst, who is currently working on the analysis of temperature on urban cities and infrastructure as part of the Risks and Adaptation team at The Council. Interested in urban ecosystems and water management, she wants to explore technology for policy making.

Before her previous stint at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in Hyderabad, Ishita had short internship experiences with various organisations and institutions, studying the water sector and focussing on water pollution and wastewater treatment. She has also worked in a fellowship programme with TERI, where she led an independent project on the heritage of Delhi, which was recognised for its outreach and impact.

Ishita holds an undergraduate degree in Environment Engineering from Delhi Technological University (DTU). A trained classical dancer, she is an arts and culture dilettante who wants to explore the various traditional textiles of India.
