Angarika Gogoi

Senior Communications Associate

Angarika is a Senior Communications Associate at The Council and is involved in outreach activities for the Powering Livelihoods Programme.

Previously, she worked as a journalist at The Better India (TBI) and 101 Reporters, media organisations based in Bengaluru. At 101 Reporters, she reported on a range of topics from climate change to politics and business. While at TBI, she reported on startups and small businesses  providing novel solutions to pertinent challenges across various sectors.

Angarika graduated from the Hindu College with a degree in History and later, trained as a journalist at the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media (IIJNM). She is passionate about climate justice at the intersection of gender. 

Angarika loves all things art and collects trivia about her favourite artists. In her free time, she bakes cakes, reads and takes care of her friends’ pets when they are out of town. She is an admirer of trees and a budding plant mom.
