Arunava Banerjee has joined the Council on Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW) as a Senior Communications Associate. He brings with him experience in shaping narratives, managing complex editorial projects, and driving impactful communication strategies.
Prior to joining CEEW, he served as Senior Coordinator – Digital Engagement at Breakthrough Trust, where he founded and led the editorial and operational efforts for the e-magazine, Engendering Education and managed end-to-end content and production for the podcast Keeping it Feminist and the media review series Friday Feminist Review. Before Breakthrough, he worked as Publicist and Copy-Editor at Jadavpur University Press (Publications), where he was responsible for the end-to-end management of book publicity, curating and overseeing events, and enhancing the distribution networks of academic publications.
Arunava holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies, a Master’s degree in English, and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, all from Jadavpur University. Trained as a literary and new media scholar, he occasionally writes about comics for Scroll Media and Critical Collective. In the off hours, he can be found chasing bookshops, running away from cinema halls, and scratching his head trying to enjoy video games and critical theory. He also once translated some James Joyce for fun.
