Accounts Executive

CEEW seeks to hire an individual for the position of Accounts Executive to expand its work in the area of accounting, book keeping, and maintenance of all financial records in a systematic manner. The candidate should have experience in project accounting and tally.

Job Duties and Accountabilities

Accounts Maintenance

  • Journal, cash and bank payment, receipt transaction in accounting software
  • Ensure voucher is fully authorised and has all the relevant supporting
  • Maintenance of all type of files in order and preparation of monthly pay slips
  • Deposition of statutory dues on time and maintenance of all type of statutory files (PF,ESI, TDS, GST etc)
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register as per books of accounts
  • Bank reconciliation statement
  • Maintaining a record of petty cash for office expenses and cash reconciliation
  • Preparation of MIS on monthly basis
  • Maintenance of project grants file in order and the appropriate filing of electronic and hard copies of the financial documents and reports
  • Ensure all reimbursement of employees are recorded within stipulated time (along with Boarding pass and trip report)
  • Balance confirmation with all the vendors
  • Invoice preparation and follow-up with the donors for the instalments of grants disbursement
  • Ensure all utilities payments are made within due dates
  • Collect investment declaration and investment proofs from employees
  • Provide report of budget vs actual to the users
  • Prepare utilisation certificates and other reports for the donor reporting
  • Close coordination with HR and Admin teams related to financial matters

Taxation (Direct and Indirect)

  • Calculate TDS on salary on monthly basis
  • Provide all necessary details to the PF consultants
  • Deposit all statutory dues on time and update all record for filing all statutory returns on time
  • Distribute TDS certificate to all vendors and employees within time
  • All other supporting tasks

Statutory and Internal Audits

  • Supervising and finalisation of internal/ statutory/ tax with the coordination of other staff members and clients
  • Ensuring maintenance of proper records as per the audit requirements
  • Assessing results, analysing variance and making suitable recommendations

Selection Criteria


  • Postgraduate or undergraduate degree in Commerce


  • At least three to four years of relevant work experience in the field of accounting, auditing (optional)
  • Some experience in the non-governmental organisational sector and knowledge of FCRA regulations

Main skills

  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of cost centre and cost category in tally software
  • Strong knowledge of MS – Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Should have knowledge of Income Tax and GST
  • Should be aware of full procurement process
