Designation offered: Intern – Social media and content management

Reporting to: Research Analyst

Location: Remote working

Duration: 3 months

Purpose

CEEW seeks to hire an ambitious and diligent individual who would be keen to work in social media and content management with an aim to facilitate impactful communication. As part of the Renewable Energy team at The Council, the individual would be involved in supporting a communication campaign organised by electricity distribution companies in Delhi to promote the uptake of rooftop solar technology.

The role would entail managing multiple social media platforms and campaign website, creating regular multimedia content, and tracking engagements throughout the campaign. Candidate must possess very strong written communication skills, design and creative experience, strong time management skills, an eye for detail, and a zeal to learn and create impact. Familiarity with designing and implementing social media campaigns would be highly useful.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined below, the applicant should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities and respond to events and developments that cannot be anticipated easily.

Job Duties and Accountabilities 

Campaign planning and organisation assistance

  • Draft content and manage the campaign platform and associated social media accounts. 

  • Design infographics and other creatives needed for campaign organisation.

  • Coordinate with the research and outreach team to plan invitations, content creation and social media communications for the campaign. 

  • Assist the team in planning the campaign and co-ordinating with the team. This will include scheduling and conducting team meetings, tracking project progress, and providing timely project-related communications to the team. 

  • Suggest innovative ideas to design and create communication content with efficiency and effectiveness. 

You may also be required to assist other team members on communication/ event management deliverables as required for the campaign.  

Selection criteria

Education

  • Strong academic credentials, preferably a  degree in literature, communication, multimedia or other relevant fields

Main skills

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms
  • Experience working with Canva or other similar design tools
  • Strong attention to details and well organised
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner by conveying information effectively
  • Must be able to delegate tasks and communicate wishes in a professional and effective way in order to meet deadlines
  • An ability to meet deadlines and multi-task effectively within the team
  • Previous communication campaign planning experience is a strong plus

Compensation

This is a paid internship.
