Designation offered Communications Associate: Design and Editorial

Location New Delhi, India

Reporting to Senior Communications Specialist & Archivist

Duration This is a full-time position after a probation period.

Purpose of Recruitment

To support the Outreach team on a range of communication and outreach activities to influence intended stakeholders. CEEW invites applications from communication professionals who have a combination of design-cum-editorial eye as well as assistance experience. At CEEW you will:

Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Assist and manage all the stages of CEEW's research publication per existing SoPs with relevant editorial, design and print vendors; manage the publications inventory.
  • Conceptualise and develope (with designers) clear and engaging infographics to showcase data in print and on social media.
  • Follow and improve the organisation's branding style guide periodically to represent best practices.
  • Adopt trending ideas on language usage, design language, and successful branding of outreach materials and channels used by organisations across sectors.
  • Study and adopt contemporary communication and data visualisation trends and producing communication collaterals to specific briefs.
  • Help produce short videos on research published by teams.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities.

Other Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors (designers, data visualisers, printers, photographers/videographers) to ensure communication collaterals are produced within given timelines and all requirements are communicated to the vendors in a timely manner.
  • Brainstorm to come up with creative data visualisation ideas and work towards executing these.
  • Provide on-ground support during CEEW events.

Selection Criteria


  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in design language, communications, journalism, or marketing communication.

Work Experience and Other Skills

  • 1-3 years experience in producing communication pieces, magazines, writing and proofing and or marcomm materials from idea to final product.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Excellent grasp of English language.
  • A strong design sense for print and digital.
  • A portfolio of design work you have produced or supervised.
  • Above-average language skills in spoken and written English and a reasonable grasp of spoken and written Hindi.
  • An eye for data visualisation and infographic making.
  • The ability to research and digest best-of-class communication ideas as well as the knowledge to liaison with third-party vendors.
  • Basic design, photography and basic knowledge of video making.
