Designation offered Communications Intern (Filmmaking and Photography)

Team Outreach

Reporting toSenior Communications Associate

Location New Delhi

Duration 4 months (extendable basis mutual agreement)

Purpose

To support the Outreach team on a range of communication activities including, but not limited to, producing short in-house videos, documenting life at CEEW, quick edits and uploads, and other outreach activities.

An ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and audio visual editing skills, knowledge of current trends and interested in telling stories related to sustainability. The candidate should be solution-oriented, detail-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines.

Deliverables and responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Communications Associate with in-house video productions end-to-end (script writing, filming, editing, audio balancing, sub-titling, format exporting, etc.).
  • Work closely on brand films and documentary projects.
  • Edit video bytes of special events as and when required.
  • Undertake photographic/audio-visual documentation of life at CEEW and its events.
  • Provide support on research for upcoming communications and outreach projects.
  • Explore new formats and templates for audio-visual storytelling.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase CEEW’s films at conferences and festivals and make a database of the same.

Other responsibilities

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors (production houses, studios, designers, data visualisers, photographers/videographers, printers) to ensure that videos and other communication collaterals are produced within given timelines and all requirements are communicated to the vendors in a timely manner.
  • Provide on-ground support for CEEW events.
  • Support the Communications Associate in other tasks as and when required.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s / PG degree / Diploma in film studies, film making, mass communications, journalism, public policy or any related fields preferred.

Work experience and other skills

  • 1-2 years’ experience in film production, photography, videography/video editing or a similar role
  • Proficient in working with editing softwares such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve
  • Proficient in handling mirrorless and DSLR cameras
  • Knowledge of motion graphics design and illustration capabilities will be an asset
  • Experience covering social, humanitarian and development issue will be an asset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Excellent grasp of English language
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
