Purpose

To support the Communications Associate (Data) on a range of activities including, but not limited to, creating charts, infographics, and other data-driven collaterals such as videos and social media posts, curating in-person information design products, design research, and data cleaning, and assisting in other ongoing projects.

CEEW invites applications from current and graduated design students with an interest in information design.

The candidate should be solution-oriented, detail-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines. In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities.

Job duties and accountabilities

  • Creating and fact-checking data visualisations that offer clarity and are crisp.
  • Creating data-driven collaterals such as videos, social media posts, infographics, etc. for both print and digital.
  • Supporting the Communications Associate in curating in-person data-driven experiences.
  • Supplementing existing and upcoming collaterals with peer research and template design.

Selection criteria

Qualification

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in design (currently enrolled or graduated).

Work experience and other skills

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in communications, design, or any related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of design tools.

Key skills

  • Excellent communication skills — spoken and written English language skills.
  • Attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
  • An interest in design and data visualisation media is a must.
  • Ability to adhere to (and manage multiple) timelines.

Compensation

Competitive compensation – commensurate to the experience and matching the best standards adopted by the industry or other similar organisations for similar roles.
