Reporting to Communications Associate

Duration3 months (extendable basis mutual agreement)

Purpose

CEEW seeks to hire a Communications Intern/ Consultant, a role that will be crucial to showcase the vast range of research that CEEW undertakes to a wide constituency, comprising government, industry, civil society, media, and public at large. The individual must specialise in web-development and creative digital tools. She/he should be proficient in digital communications, social media and content development.

Primary responsibilities

  • Day-to-day content management of CEEW’s primary website and other project portals.
  • Day-to-day management of SEO tasks on the CEEW website
  • Improving the UI/UX design of CEEW’s primary website and other project portals.
  • Supporting the Communications Associate in the revamp of the CEEW website.
  • Supporting the Communications Associate in the development of web-based tools and dashboards.
  • Developing high-quality content pieces for the website.
  • Supporting the team in creating quick reaction videos, developing templates for social media and other communication materials.

Other responsibilities

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors (designers, printers, photographer/videographer) to ensure that collaterals are delivered as per timelines.
  • Brainstorm with the team on creative engagement ideas for digital media and work towards executing these.
  • Provide on-ground support for CEEW events.
  • Crucially, in addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined above, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities and respond to events and developments that cannot be anticipated easily.

Selection Criteria

Qualification

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in web development, computer science or related field or relevant experience.

Work experience and other skills

  • 0-2 years’ experience in web development, digital media management or a similar role\
  • Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Proficient in handling Drupal
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Excellent grasp of English language 
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
