Designation offered HR Intern

Reporting to Sr Admin and HR Officer

Location Virtual; Additionally, once a week in person in the New Delhi office

Purpose

CEEW seeks to hire an intern in the Human Resource department, for the primary purpose of supporting the Sr Admin and HR Officer in the recruitment function. Additionally, he or she, will be responsible for 1-2 talent, engagement or development projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Attract and Recruit the Right Talent (80% of the role-holder’s time will be spent on this)

  • Support Sr Admin and HR Officer to strengthen the recruitment process by exploring techniques in AI, machine-learning, analytics to widen the candidate pool, reduce the selection time and find the best-fit candidate for the role.
  • Drive candidate tele-screening for entry level roles across Research and Outreach teams.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews for shortlisted candidates across levels.
  • Widen the recruitment reach through digital means and social media, creative, cohesive and consistent messaging and innovative hiring channels.
  • Update candidate repository and create a “smart” database that can be easily accessible across stakeholder groups.
  • Support in the transition of the recruitment process onto the Zoho platform.
  • Re-ignite the campus connect initiative by partnering with champions to engage and conduct placements; Create and design a signature CEEW umbrella program across campuses.

HR Project Support (20% of the role-holder’s time will be spend on this)

  • Run the employee engagement initiative starting from identifying the right partner, frequency and ways to move from engagement to action at a team-wise level.
  • Design and implement an annual wellness calendar.
  • Any other project assigned by Sr Admin & HR officer or Head - HR.

Selection Criteria

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Psychology or English.
  • Strong track record of project assistance, communication finesse and delivery of outputs.

Aptitude

  • Interest and passion about human resources as a field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Acumen in using MS office application suite.
  • Ability to manage schedules and timelines while keeping the overall mandate and outcome in mind.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to be able to build trusting relationships with colleagues, managers and stakeholders.

  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and translate it into concrete, achievable goals.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within the HR and Operations team.
  • Mindset to work in project-mode owning schedules, timelines and quality of deliverables.
