Purpose

CEEW is working on a study to estimate the carbon emissions offset for a range of green products and value chains. As India looks to accelerate a greener economy, it is important to identify the quantum of carbon emissions that any new green opportunity mitigates. The Council has identified approximately thirty viable value chains that promise scalability across India and further a green economy. We are looking for a consultant to help us estimate the carbon emissions offset for these value chains.

The Consultant will be working closely with our in-house experts on identifying the carbon intensive counterfactual for each of the proposed value chain and; and our expert on low-carbon modelling.

We are keen to hire a suitable candidate with proficiency in life cycle assessment of carbon emissions and/ or carbon emissions estimates more broadly. If you are interested in using your modelling skills to solve some of India’s pressing climate change problems while keeping the economy and people at the heart of it, we want to hear from you!

CEEW offers an intellectually challenging and conducive work environment, focusing on research rigour, innovative thinking, and strategic outreach. We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual passionate about empirical research and excited to put it into action.
