At CEEW, we build careers in public policy
Designation offered: Research Intern – Renewable Energy
Reporting to: Programme Associate
Duration: 4 to 6 months
Location: New Delhi, India
Purpose:
CEEW seeks to hire a Research Intern in the Renewable Energy team to expand its ongoing research work on renewable energy technologies, policies, power markets and grid integration. CEEW offers an intellectually challenging and conducive work environment, with a focus on research rigour, innovative thinking, and consensus-building. We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and detail-oriented researcher with a specific focus on identifying and addressing technical, policy, regulatory, and market hurdles that inhibit the accelerated deployment of renewable energy in the power system.
The Renewable Energy team is one of the seven focus areas at the CEEW. Our work supports India’s - and the world’s - clean energy transition. It does so through timely, research-based interventions based on extensive policy, regulatory, and market analyses. The team works on designing fit-for-purpose solutions mitigating barriers to the deployment of RE. It also works on identifying wholesale and retail side market reforms, and new market designs that can enhance the depth of power markets, promote new, clean and flexible technology options, and ease integration of utility and distributed RE. The team also assesses, through surveys, India’s renewable energy jobs potential and skills requirement, the risks facing renewable energy investments, and designing strategic financial mechanisms to address the identified risks. We recommend applicants visit the renewable energy team page on the CEEW website for more details about our projects.
