Clark is a Global South Fellow with the Sustainable Water team at The Council. He works on projects to advance circular economies, improve sustainable wastewater management, and mitigate water scarcity.
Before joining The Council, Clark interned at Climate Jobs Illinois (CJI), an environmental labour coalition representing numerous labour unions across Illinois to promote the transition to a carbon-free economy. At CJI, he contributed to the Carbon Free Healthy Schools campaign, which aimed to increase the adoption of electric school buses and solar panels at public schools in Illinois. Additionally, Clark helped facilitate efforts to recover over $1 billion in withheld state grants owed to school districts.
Clark holds a Bachelor of Science in Computational and Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Chicago. During his time at university, he was a policy researcher for the Environmental Research Group (ERG), a student-led think tank, where he examined the impact of lead in Chicago drinking water and researched local and national policies related to clean water access, focusing on lead poisoning in public schools. Clark also led two-year-long research projects at the University of Chicago Human Robot Interaction Laboratory under Professor Sarah Sebo.
