Dharmender K K is a Communications consultant at The Council. He has expertise in documenting urban issues and solutions through the digital lens and making films that profoundly reflect urban realities. At The Council, he takes a lead on in-house video production, and helps in running social media handles and strategising multimedia content.
Dharmender has worked with the Centre for Community Knowledge in the past, conducting interviews for the Department of Delhi Archives - a project titled, ‘Dilli Dehaat ki Kahaani’, working at the nexus of visual storytelling and oral histories. He is interested in producing graphics that share concepts for social change. His photographs have featured in a number of blogs and journals including, ‘Humanities Across Borders’.
Dharmender holds a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Urbanism and a PG Diploma in Urban Studies from Ambedkar University Delhi and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He combines his passion for sustainable development with strategic media insights.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dharmender finds joy in the rhythm of Table Tennis matches. On weekends, he cooks in his friends’ kitchen and explores cinema in many dialects of India. He likes people who don’t interrupt while watching films in the theatre.
