Mehak Singla

Mehak Singla has joined The Council as an LCA Consultant with the Sustainable Livelihoods team. Her work focuses on quantifying the potential carbon emissions offset aimed to achieve through our cumulative research effort.
Prior to joining CEEW, she did active research on 3ʳᵈ degree bioplastics, micro-algae as a future fuel, and nanoparticles as a toxin absorbent in industrial wastewater and a filter for polluted air. She previously worked with CII through her role at Beyond Sustainability, where she contributed to the development of the Climate Action Charter (CCAC) impact report for the Madhya Pradesh industrial cluster. Apart from that she built her start-up around aromatherapy after her engineering degree from DTU. With a background in biotechnology and experience in entrepreneurship, she believes that in order to build any eco-system, a systems thinking approach paired with a good team can together create magic. Mehak is passionate about building the bridge between active research and real-world impact.
Apart from that, Mehak loves her music - singing and dancing to the rhythm makes her feel alive. She is very creative and respects nature for what it teaches us and believes that it’s our duty to protect it.
