Neelesh Soni has joined The Council as a Consultant – Industrial Pollution Management with the Clean Air team. Currently, His work focuses on the effective implementation of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) in industries and assessing air quality improvements in Large Industries and MSMEs.

Before joining The Council, Neelesh worked as an Environmental Engineer at Mangalam Cement Ltd., Kota, where he was responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance under environmental laws, managing the Online Continuous Emission Monitoring System (OCEMS), coordinating with regulatory bodies, and leading internal environmental audits. His work spanned the cement plant, captive power plant (CPP), and mining operations, where he contributed to strategic planning for environmental sustainability and pollution control.

Neelesh holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a master's in Environmental Engineering from MNIT Jaipur. During his post-graduate research, he worked on a government- sponsored project titled “Prevalence and Mitigation of Silicosis in Rajasthan”, which focused on occupational health challenges, air pollution exposure, and policy interventions for silica- exposed workers.

Outside of work, Neelesh enjoys playing volleyball, cricket, and binge-watching OTT web series.
