Save the date: Energy Horizons 2020 I 16-17 June

The second edition of Energy Horizons, our flagship annual conference, will be hosted on 16-17 June 2020. Energy Horizons is a global platform for thought and action leadership on the energy transition in emerging economies, with a focus on India. As deliberations on actions and ambition consistent with the Paris Agreement take centre-stage, the conference will aim to inform and encourage renewed ambition for global energy transition. It will be a platform to discuss key issues including clean energy markets, industrial decarbonisation, sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, green hydrogen, natural gas, and financial innovations – all crucial in the run up to COP-26.

In 2019, over 60 illustrious global experts and 550 delegates gathered at Energy Horizons. They discussed, debated, and deliberated on a forward-looking strategy to accelerate the energy transition towards sustainability and accessibility. Speaking at the conference, H.E. Mr Dharmendra Pradhan Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Ministry of Steel, Government of India, stated that India will play a global role in the energy transition and deal with the volatility in the energy market. H. E. Dr Fatih Birol Executive Director, International Energy Agency (IEA), highlighted that electrification of the energy world, our societies and our economies, would shape the future.

Other key speakers included Suresh Prabhu (Prime Minister's Sherpa to the G20), Rana Adib (REN21), Sanjay Jaiswal (Member of Parliament), Jairam Ramesh (Member of Parliament), Anand Kumar (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India), and Ligia Noronha (UNEP).

The previous edition of Energy Horizons was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India; the International Energy Agency (IEA); the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA); the International Solar Alliance (ISA); the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century (REN21); the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation; and UN Environment.

The conference will once again feature dedicated masterclasses, solution factories, and high-level plenaries. Join the conversation. Block your calendar.
