Nitin Maurya

Nitin is an engineer by training and works on the integration of alternative fuels in Indian industrial sectors to make them more sustainable and reduce their carbon footprint. At The Council, his research revolves around providing direction, support and insights to the policy planners and industry leaders towards decarbonisation options.

Nitin is currently evaluating methods for integration of low carbon alternative fuels, for example renewable hydrogen and natural gas, in the existing industrial processes. He is working on establishing feasibility models and performing resource assessments, market projections, techno-economic analysis, risk-assessment and scenario comparisons.

He has a European Masters degree in Renewable Energy from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands and holds an undergraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun.
