Pramit Banerjee is a resource mobilization expert with nearly 11 years of experience in forging strategic collaborations to drive social impact. As Lead for Fundraising and Partnerships at The Council, he is responsible for facilitating and nurturing strategic collaborations with capital providers to advance the organization’s mission.
Pramit has designed and led high-impact initiatives, including structuring the world’s largest education Development Impact Bond (DIB) for Kaivalya Education Foundation, managing a funding portfolio of $5M to improve learning for 70,000+ children in Indian government schools, drafting India’s first Social Stock Exchange policy (listing and reporting) framework – enabling nonprofits to access capital markets, facilitating $5M+ for startups in Africa and South Asia across agriculture, healthcare, and clean energy while convening 3,800+ stakeholders through platforms like Sankalp Forum, advising on blended finance mechanisms to support 150+ impact-driven startups in India and driving grassroots change as a Gandhi Fellow, transforming the learning environment in 40+ rural schools.
With an MBA in Digital Finance and Banking and a B.Sc. in Economics, Pramit works at the intersection of storytelling, resource mobilization, finance, and systems change.
