As Engagement Lead with the Low Carbon Pathways team at The Council, Praveen's responsibilities include leading the Low Carbon Pathways team’s outreach efforts with central and state governments, forging strong relationships with industries and industry associations, building awareness around the team’s work, and research coordination and communication.
In his previous job, Praveen managed the Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship program, instituted at PRS Legislative Research. His responsibilities included training and mentoring 200+ LAMP Fellows, ideating and organizing capacity building workshops on various policy subjects to improve the academic exposure of LAMP Fellows, engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders such as Members of Parliament, academic institutions, civil servants, think tanks, civil society organisations to strengthen the quality of the program and marketing the Fellowship program across the country to improve its visibility.
Prior to PRS, Praveen worked in the corporate sector at Fidelity Investments and Fastenal India, where he was primarily into database technology management and strategy. Here, he had the opportunity to experiment and implement several enterprise level state-of-the-art data and database technologies.
He holds a B.Tech in Information Technology from Anna University, Chennai and an MBA, Post Graduate Program for Executives (PGP-X), from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
