Rani works as a Research Analyst with the Industrial Sustainability team at The Council. Her work focuses on supporting India’s transition to a net-zero economy. To meet this objective, she and her team focus on energy transition to natural gas and hydrogen, carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS), carbon pricing, circular economy and innovation.
Prior to joining The Council, Rani interned at Pidilite Industries under the project titled “Engineering in Design Innovation” as an Industrial Designer. Her project included designing a self rolling accessory for a dosa machine and conceptualisation and design of a babul plant harvester.
Rani holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Industrial Design from IIT Bombay. Outside of work, Rani loves to read books, play badminton, sketching and crochet. Her stress buster in the virtual world is exploring YouTube and watching Big Bang Theory, while in the real world, she enjoys spending time doing anonymous things.
