An Energy Engineer by training, Sachin he is currently working on analysing the impact of the solar PV rooftop system on power grids. He is also engaged in research on the growth of the manufacturing of renewables technology in India. He is interested in the policy, regulatory, and economic aspects of rooftop solar with a vision of supporting make in India.

He has formerly worked at the National Centre for Photovoltaic Research and Education (NCPRE), IIT Bombay. He has worked on the All India Survey of Photovoltaic Module Reliability, focusing on the causes of degradation of modes in PV modules through power, visual, and electroluminescence data analysis.

Sachin completed an Integrated M. Tech from the Central University of Jharkhand. He was also a student at IIT Bombay under the MS by Research programme.

In his leisure, Sachin likes to play basketball, take long rides, or travel around. He is also a foodie.
