Saloni Jain

Analyst, CEEW Centre for Energy Finance

Saloni helps build The Centre’s capability in tracking policy developments in the clean energy market. Her work primarily involves gauging the policy impetus behind a specific market trend in the renewables sector.

Prior to joining the Council, she worked at The Nielsen Company where she conducted brand track studies, market potential studies and consumer satisfaction studies for automotive and durable companies in the country.

She believes that a strong sense of purpose in life can be a rich source of happiness and can help transcend the work-joy dichotomy. This belief system inspired her to pursue a career in Public Policy. She has interned with the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), Delhi, where her research area focussed on addressing judicial delays in the Debt Recovery Tribunals. Her thesis was on women migrant workers in the urban informal sector under which she drafted a legislation for the textile mill workers.

Saloni holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the National Law School (NLSIU), Bangalore, and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Lady Shriram College, Delhi University.
