Satyateja Subbarao

Research Analyst

Satyateja is a Research Analyst in The Council’s Air Quality team. He is passionate about working for evidence-based policymaking backed by scientific data, especially in the environmental domain.  

He holds  B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala and an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. In his M.Tech Thesis, he quantified the multi-pathway human health risk posed to the residents of an oil spill site in Tondiarpet, Chennai, using Monte-Carlo simulations.

As a former Chess player, he had represented his college and school in various tournaments at the national level. He is interested in productivity, stoicism, astronomy, and learning new languages.
