Somansh works as a Research Analyst with the Industrial Sustainability and Competitiveness (ISC) team at the Council. A mechanical engineer by education and experience, he is enthusiastic about contributing toward accelerating the adoption of technological solutions aimed at decarbonising various industries.

Somansh holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). During those four years, he pursued his passion for sustainability by being involved in projects like building a net-positive energy solar-powered house as a part of Team Shunya and leading the institute’s Sustainability Cell in his final year. He also researched and published on the perception towards electric vehicles in India.

In his free time, Somansh likes playing badminton, watching movies, and going on short trips over the weekends.
