Research Analyst

Sweta’s works at The Council revolves around the research on low carbon pathways. Earlier, she worked at Tata Consultancy Services Limited as a system engineer. She believes that the knowledge of technology, combined with her interest in the environment sector can be sought to bring change in society as a whole. She believes in breaking stereotypes and emerging as a change-maker. Her life is based on the philosophy of creativity.

She holds a post-graduation in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, and a B.Tech in Computer Science. Interaction with highly qualified professors and students of various sectors gave her an enriching experience at post-graduation. Also, she interned at Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board, which helped in gaining know-how of public policies and their implementation.

Sweta is very sensitive towards environmental issues and continuously works for biodiversity conservation as well. She has been a part of many entrepreneurship cells and likes organising and managing networking events. She is a black belt in Karate and aspires to lead a healthy life. She believes that an investment in research and education certainly pays off; so, one must do it. She believes in bringing about at least a small change that counts.
