India to produce 55 million tonnes of green hydrogen in 2050

It is tough to decarbonize various sectors including heavy transportation with the present low-carbon or carbon-free technology, such as solar, wind, lithium-ion batteries, etc. The domestic output for green hydrogen is predicted to increase to a whopping 55 MT by 2050, Hydrogen is expected to alleviate these challenges and help decarbonize these difficult-to-abate industries.

Will India establish any policy or regulatory framework to promote the growth and implementation of hydrogen technologies in various industries?
