Ajinkya is Research Analyst with the Circular Economy team at The Council. His role involves conducting in-depth investigations into the industry's requirements, advancements in renewable technologies, and exploring pathways towards achieving a circular economy. Additionally, he is actively involved in evaluating the nature of green jobs and their availability across various sectors, contributing to the cause of a just energy transition.
Ajinkya's educational background includes a post-graduation in Aerospace Engineering from TUM Asia, a collaborative program between TUM, Munich, and NTU, Singapore. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from VIT Chennai. Prior to joining the Council, he gained valuable experience working in diverse sectors such as aerospace, healthcare, battery, and manufacturing. During his tenure as a Research Associate at NTU, he focused on studying the surface characteristics of aerospace alloys, and his Master's thesis involved analyzing the performance of tidal turbines at the Energy Research Institute at NTU.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Ajinkya has a passion for adventure and holds certifications as an Open Water Diver and Advanced Adventurer from SSI. He is an avid follower of cricket and Formula 1, and indulges in cycling and playing the piano in his downtime.
