Ankit Jha
Programme Associate
Ankit has joined The Council as a Program Associate with the Climate Resilience Team. His work focuses on assessing risks from extreme climate events and developing tools to evaluate community resilience and adaptation capabilities, leveraging data-driven research to help communities climate-proof their lives and livelihoods. Prior to this, Ankit worked at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation within the Climate Insights team, managing the expert Forum on critical climate issues like decentralized climate governance and low-carbon manufacturing in India, while also collaborating with Program teams on horizon-scoping for new initiatives. In the past, Ankit has worked with the Delhi Legislative Assembly as an Associate Fellow looking after constituency related governance challenges and helping the MLA office in ensuring smooth service delivery for the constituents. He has extensive grassroots experience working in the Eastern Himalayan Region focusing on building community resilience and capacity against climate change issues.
Ankit holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Delhi and a Master’s in Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. In his free time, Ankit loves exploring new music and watching crime thrillers.
