Anushka works as a Research Analyst in the Climate Resilience team, having recently completed a Master’s in Disaster Management from Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai, specialising in Disaster Policy and Action. Her research interests include differential vulnerability assessment, stakeholder engagement, heat health risk and climate-resilient infrastructure.
During her Master's program, Anushka interned at the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology in Dehradun. Later she interned in the Climate Resilience team at CEEW. She also devoted time to various NGOs during her undergraduate years, including Sankalp, Team Everest, and GirlUp Raabata, contributing to significant initiatives and community projects.
Anushka’s interests encompass diverse pursuits, from exploring new cultures and landscapes through travel to finding tranquility in mountainous regions for moments of introspection and connection with nature. She derives joy from culinary adventures in cooking and expressive connection in dancing, both contributing to her journey of self-discovery and personal fulfillment. Through integrating policy-making and research, she aims to contribute to developing innovative solutions that enhance climate resilience and sustainability on local and global scales.
