Chetna is a Programme Associate in the Low-carbon Economy team at The Council. Previously, she worked as an Economist with The Celestial Earth (TCE), where she was responsible for using a GTAP-based CGE model to analyze the macroeconomic impact of energy policy scenarios, with a specific focus on evaluating the socio-economic implications of investing in renewable energy sectors in countries such as India, Indonesia, and Morocco.
Chetna holds a Master's degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Delhi. During her graduation, she interned at NITI Aayog with the Infrastructure & Transport Connectivity vertical, where her research focused on evaluating sustainable management frameworks for end-of-life vehicles.
Outside of work, Chetna enjoys traveling, cooking, and exploring local art and cultures. She also likes to read books on human behavior and psychology, and baking is her go-to stress reliever.
