Gursimer is a Research Analyst in the Sustainable Food System team at The Council. His work is centered on restructuring government budgetary support to agriculture. He also aims to study the possibilities of making food systems more nutritious and explore the viability of introducing financial instruments in agriculture to establish market linkages.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Financial Investment Analysis from Delhi University and a master’s degree in Public Policy from NLSIU Bangalore in which he studied the migrant access to nutritional interventions through the ICDS public distribution system in Delhi.
Gursimer has previously worked as a Trainee Broker at a shipbroking firm and as an intern at the Delhi Commission of Protection of Child Rights, Haqdarshak, and Indus Action.
Apart from his professional commitments, Gursimer is a vocalist and a drama artist. When away from work, he likes to spend time in the mountains and beaches.
