Manas Vijayan
Programme Associate
Manas had joined The Council as a Consultant with the Energy Transitions team in December 2024, and has joined now as a Programme Associate within the same team. By training, he is an Architect and Urban Planner, and has recently completed my Doctoral Degree in August 2024, focusing on urban energy planning. His research dived deep into the world of complexity science and agent-based modelling.
Prior to joining The Council, he spent two years as a faculty member. His work has since centred around developing agent-based computational models as tools to test and evaluate energy policies tailored for Indian cities.
Outside of work, Manas is a versatile sports enthusiast, having competed in various intra, inter, and regional competitions in athletics, football, cricket, kho-kho, and badminton. If there was a ball/shuttle involved, he was probably chasing it. He enjoys painting, cycling, trekking, driving, and traveling—though he hasn’t yet ventured beyond national borders.
