Milan George Jacob
Communications Specialist
Milan leads digital media at The Council and is passionate about visual storytelling. He experiments with multimedia and innovative comms that can move climate action and sustainability from the margins to the mainstream. His latest project is the Faces of Climate Resilience — a set of 16 short documentaries that capture stories of climate adaptation and resilience from different parts of India.
Prior to The Council, Milan worked with the TB Call to Action project of the Resource Group for Education and Advocacy for Community Health. During the project, he engaged closely with TB survivors and journalists in New Delhi and six eastern Indian states in advocacy to end TB. Before moving to the non-profit sector, he was a part of the editorial team at HT Media Ltd in New Delhi.
Milan holds post-graduate degrees in Economics, Journalism and Anthropology from the University of Hyderabad, the Asian College of Journalism and the Indira Gandhi National Open University, respectively. He explored New Wave Hollywood and Digital Anthropology in his dissertations.
Watching world cinema, reading philosophical fiction, and brooding are his staples. He finds running and hiking cathartic. On weekends, he's usually busy with culinary expeditions or watching sports.
