Mohammad Rafiuddin

Programme Associate

Rafiuddin works with the Clean Air and the Climate Risks teams at The Council. His work focuses on designing data-driven solutions to improve air quality in Indian cities and understand the impact of climate change on India’s renewable energy sources.

Rafiuddin is an engineer by training with a background in atmospheric sciences and mechanical engineering. During his PhD, he worked on developing a fog forecasting system for the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. Prior to CEEW, he had a brief stint as a data scientist at a predictive maintenance startup.

Rafiuddin has a PhD in atmospheric sciences from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.
