Mohammad Rafiuddin

Programme Associate

Mohammad works with the Risks and Adaptation team at the Council, where he focuses on designing data-driven solutions to improve air quality in Indian cities. He also works with the Renewables team to understand the impact of climate change on India’s renewable energy sources.

Mohammad is an engineer by training with a background in atmospheric sciences and mechanical engineering. During his PhD, he worked on developing a fog forecasting system for the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. He also worked briefly as a data scientist at a predictive maintenance startup.

Mohammad has recently submitted his PhD thesis to the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.
