Nandagopan has joined The Council as a Consultant with the Clean Air team. His work focuses on building a stronger evidence base for air quality action through comprehensive air quality monitoring and detailed data analysis to shape smarter, more impactful policies. Furthermore, his research leverages air quality monitoring, geospatial analysis, and techno-economic analysis to evaluate cost-effective environmental mitigation strategies.

Before joining CEEW, Nandagopan completed his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Delhi, where he developed an interest in data-driven policy. He is currently building on that foundation through a diploma in data science from IIT Madras. He goes by Nandu.

Outside of work, Nandu's happiest on a trail with a camera in hand and a sketchbook somewhere in his bag. Trekking, photography, and sketching while travelling are his go-to ways to switch off. After a bit of a hiatus, he's actively finding his way back to all three.
