Lead - Legal

Protiti is a development sector lawyer and advises the Council as Lead - Legal. With 13 years of experience working at the intersection of law and policy, Protiti brings to the table a great passion for supporting non profit organisations reach their fullest potential and a strong commitment to problem solving.

After reading the law at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Protiti obtained her Masters of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School, Tufts University. She specialises in human security focussed public policy and conflict resolution. Prior to the CEEW, she was Principal Associate in the Regulatory Affairs team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co., where she led the development sector and healthcare verticals. She started out her career litigating in the Delhi trial courts and High Court, including providing pro bono representation to child survivors of sexual abuse.

Outside of work, Protiti loves to snuggle up with a book and hot chocolate, and listens to classical music and Robindrosongeet. After watching Mama Mia on OTT, she also has a newfound love for ABBA.
