Priyatam Yasaswi
Research Analyst
Priyatam works as a Research Analyst with the Energy Access team as part of the Powering Livelihoods initiative at The Council. His role involves assessing the impact of deployments of clean energy technologies across agriculture, textile and micro-business sectors through in-depth analysis of the end-user data.
A Renewable Energy engineer by profession, Priyatam’s interest lies in maximising the impact of reliable clean energy based technologies by deploying it for farmers and encouraging their shift to climate friendly natural farming practices.
Having completed his Masters in Renewable Energy Engineering & Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies, Priyatam worked in Sustain Plus, a collaborative platform conceptualised by SELCO Foundation, Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI) and Social Alpha, for scaling decentralised renewable energy technologies to improve livelihoods of marginal communities. His work mostly focussed on overseeing various scale based livelihood projects, managing & coordinating with different NGO partners, government departments and technology suppliers thereby ensuring timely completion of the agreed KPIs of the project.
In his free time, Priyatam likes watching movies and sports like Cricket, Formula 1 and is always up for a chat to break down why Charles Leclerc is the most talented driver on the grid right now! Listening to music and hanging out with friends are his best stress-busting activities.
