Ribhav works as a Consultant with the Industrial Sustainability team at The Council. His work focuses on decarbonisation pathways for hard-to-abate sectors in India such as industrial heating applications and fertilisers. His primary areas of interest are clean hydrogen and its applications specific to the Indian context. He also interned with the Energy Transition team for six months, where he analysed the financial implications of recycling solar panels in India.
Prior to joining The Council, Ribhav was preparing for the UPSC civil services examination, which is where his interest in public policy developed. Ribhav has previously also worked in the investment banking sector, joining Bank of America after his undergrad. There, he was exposed to various sectors such as energy, BFSI, and healthcare among others.
Ribhav is an engineer by training but likes to express that he’s a physicist after completing his BTech in Engineering Physics from IIT Bombay in 2021. Outside of work, he enjoys reading or watching anything that offers him a perspective that he normally wouldn’t encounter. His recent exploits have been the film festivals and jazz concerts in Delhi. He is also always trying out the variety of cuisines one can access in the city. Do text him if you’re looking to play badminton or go bouldering.
