Rohini works as a Research Analyst with the Low-Carbon Economy team at The Council. Her work focuses on using the Global Change Assessment Model (GCAM) to look at energy flows in the economy and how it may be changed using policies to achieve net zero.
Rohini has a Masters’ in Development Studies from IIT Madras, where her interest in sustainability, both at the policy and ground level, was sparked. She has previously worked on carbon credit projects and agroforestry offset projects and the livelihoods of street vendors in Delhi. Her dissertation aimed to understand how sustainability is interpreted and put into practice by green hotels operating in Ladakh.
Outside of work, Rohini loves travelling (both in person and on GeoGuessr) to explore new cultures and relax with nature, and particularly looks out for unique cuisines. When time permits, she likes to hit the pool or learn some new trivia in a quiz.
