Suhani is a Research Analyst in the Sustainable Food Systems team. She formerly worked at McKinsey & Co. as a Business Analyst in their integrative management consulting office, where she collaborated with a diverse set of client practices including advanced industries, social impact (education), finance & banking, and logistics. She also helped redesign the operating model for a non-profit K3 learning foundation to facilitate numeracy among school students in India.
Suhani graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. During this time, she engaged in an econometric study for microfinance institutions in Bangladesh with the University of Sydney to capture strategic decisions on high-risk and low-resource market entry. She was also a member of Enactus, a global community empowering lives through entrepreneurial action.
Suhani is a lover of words. She led the media and publication board at IIT Delhi and was also the Chief Editor of Design there. She enjoys reading and doing the daily crossword as part of her routine. She also likes discovering new genres of music, attending live gigs, and playing the keyboard (still learning).
Suhani hopes to impact the policy space in the areas of climate change and nutrition sustainability through her time at The Council and transition her energy and skill set into the realm of social impact.
