Uday has joined The Council as a Research Analyst under the Centre for Energy Finance. His work focuses on international negotiations around climate finance and carbon markets, and also on corporate carbon disclosures, and financing industrial transitions.
Prior to joining The Council, Uday worked as a Research Associate at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). His project work included developing financing solutions for the low-carbon transition of India’s industrial sector, as well as the MSME sector. In addition, he has engaged in research around climate negotiations and innovative financial instruments, such as green bonds.
Uday holds a bachelor's degree in History and Philosophy from the University of Delhi, and a master's in Public Policy from the O.P. Jindal University. Outside of work, Uday loves to keep up with sports, pop culture, art, and music.
