Vishal has joined The Council as a Research Analyst with the Technology Futures team. His work focuses on critical minerals, mineral processing and refining, and their role in enabling sustainable and resilient supply chains for the energy transition.

Prior to joining The Council, Vishal completed his bachelor's degree in Mineral and Metallurgical Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. During his academic journey, he participated in an international summer school program at Saint Petersburg Mining University, gaining exposure to global perspectives on mining, metallurgy, and resource sustainability. He also worked on the development of abrasion-resistant steel for sustainable mining operations, focusing on alloy design, materials characterization, and performance evaluation.

Outside of work, Vishal is passionate about photography and enjoys capturing candid moments of everyday life through his lens. He also loves exploring new places, watching sci-fi movies, and spending time with friends over a game of poker.
