Aarathi Srinivasan works as a Research Analyst with the Technology Futures team at The Council. Her responsibilities include tracking global policies, identifying trends and nuances related to international trade of clean energy technologies and critical minerals.

Prior to joining CEEW, Aarathi worked as an economic research analyst at Verite Research. Her work focused on air pollution, developing an ESG framework for south asian economies, and analysing tobacco taxation to determine its impact on consumption and affordability of tobacco products. She has also collaborated with various consulates and other research think tanks, addressing major political and international developments on traditional and non-traditional security threats, and how India can harness international collaboration to address various issues.

Aarathi holds a Bachelor’s in economics and Master’s in international studies from University of Madras. Outside of work, Aarathi loves travelling and reading books. One can always find her reading about new places, factoids, and curating travel itineraries.
