The Council has developed a comprehensive database on India's industrial energy consumption and related GHG emissions by analysing more than two lakh formal sector enterprises between 2005 and 2015. The analysis employs a bottom-up approach to estimate the energy consumption and related emissions by considering more than 80 fuels reported across individual factories.
The Industrial Energy Consumption and GHG Emissions Dashboard, built using the dataset, provides powerful visual analytics and highlights the trends of energy consumption and related emissions across key industrial sectors and states.
