Hemant works as a Research Analyst with the Industrial Sustainability team at The Council. His work focuses on the decarbonisation of major industrial sectors of India through the inclusion of green technologies like green hydrogen and other cleaner alternatives.

Before joining The Council, Hemant interned at Dr. Reddy’s as a technical intern, where he handled the physical and process qualification of a newly installed skid for manufacturing an injectable drug at the Duvvada plant, by complying to pharmaceutical regulatory standards. During his final year of graduation, he also served as a graduate teaching assistant where he tutored and assisted over 300 students in two core engineering courses.

Hemant is an engineer by education, having graduated from IIT Delhi with a dual degree (BTech + MTech) in Chemical Engineering, where he worked on the synthesis of efficient Fe/Cu based supported nanocatalysts through particle size tuning. Hemant loves sports, especially football and cricket. He is a huge admirer of Lionel Messi and never misses any of his games, even watching early 5 am matches to follow his idol. Beyond sports, movies, shows and anime are his go-to stress busters.
