Karan Kothadiya

Programme Lead

Karan is a Programme Lead at The Council in the Technology Futures Team. He studies clean energy supply chains and innovative materials for clean energy products. Karan also develops interactive decision-making tools for policymakers to independently leverage research by the Council.

At the Council, Karan studied industrial sustainability topics in the past, focusing on green hydrogen, sustainable and energy-efficient fertiliser production, green steel and industrial policy. Before joining The Council, Karan worked as a management consultant with Kearney, India and worked on public health financing with Clinton Health Access Initiative. 

Karan is an engineer by education, having graduated from IIT Bombay with a dual degree (BTech + MTech) in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science. In his personal time, he finds joy in reading, racing in long-distance running and triathlon events, and vibe-coding small personal applications with AI.
