Mirambika has joined The Council as a Research Analyst with the Power Markets Team. Her role will primarily focus on demand side management in the power sector, identifying new market opportunities for discoms and exploring the potential to scale flexible demand in India.

Before joining CEEW, Mirambika worked as a Data Scientist at Bidgely Utility AI, an energy analytics startup in Bangalore. Her initial work involved developing algorithms for Electricity Theft Detection specific to the Indian context. In her two years of professional experience, she worked on improving disaggregation algorithms for HVAC appliance usage using aggregated AMI data for 1000+ utilities and their users worldwide. Additionally, she played a key role in deploying a real-time hourly solar estimation pipeline for various proof-of-concept projects.

Mirambika holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur (2022). Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, she has actively participated in parliamentary debates at her university, achieving finalist positions in numerous national and international tournaments. In her leisure time, she enjoys participating in technology hackathons, watching Modern Family, and endlessly planning future travel adventures.
