Alina Sen

Communications Fellow

Alina is a Communications Fellow at CEEW and a doting dog mom!

At CEEW since 2017, she has led the publications/films/and special projects vertical within the Outreach team. She and her team have published 400+ research publications and led institutional storytelling through innovative projects such as Humans of CEEW, CEEW’s Annual Reports, anniversary films, public service ads, stories of India’s leadership in the energy transition, among others. She conceptualised and manages, with her team. CEEW’s cartoon series on sustainability, What On Earth!®. Drawing on her 30+ years of experience across sectors, her communication projects have brought climate science and sustainability together with music bands,  games, and performance poets to mainstream climate action for the wider public, especially the youth.

Before CEEW, she led content and strategy at PlanB Communication Partners, a design outfit in New Delhi. She also led the communications function at Naandi Foundation, which included developing and launching the Mahindra Group's first CSR platform (Esops) and writing and producing collaterals for different stakeholders, including for Araku Coffee.

She has worked with The Times of India, Books for Change (ActionAid), Johns Hopkins University, and the Centre for Development Communication (Oxfam) in various content, design, and communication development roles. Alina is an alumna of Sophia College, Mumbai, and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Communications Media (SCM).
